These guys were wonderful. I did an extensive amount of research prior to picking them and called multiple competitive companies. They were very honest, straightforward, and the price was extremely competitive. I will admit I had worries and concerns given the price was lower than others, but after seeing results, I was thrilled. They are also insured and licensed and happily provided proof via email when asked. We had a dead tree removed and the competition basically said it was impossible without using expensive machinery. S. B. Tree Service proved them wrong. They were also extremely quick in their clean-up, and did a very thorough job. We did have a few holes in the ground after it was all said and done from the tree fall, but of course that's easily fixable. Would, and will, absolutely hire these guys again, and you should too!

If I could give 6 stars, I would! Chip, who gave the estimate, is an arborist who arrived on time and understood and answered my questions. The two men who did the tree trimming were careful, polite, and did everything as planned. They were friendly and called before they came, which was a help. They fully cleaned up after the job and did a little extra trimming after I inspected their work. The cost was in the mid-range which is great for a very professional job well done.

A couple [of] weeks ago during a storm that brought heavy winds into the area, Simon and his team responded to my call about a tree in imminent danger of falling over due to cracking along the base of the trunk. This was a large, tall old spruce that would have caused significant damage had it been blown over. Beginning at 7 PM, working past 9 PM, they methodically brought the tree and branches down. I cannot express adaquetely how great an experience it was working [with] Simon and his team. They were responsive, professional, courteous and clean during the whole process. Should you find yourself in need of assistance with all things tree care related, hire this company.
I can't recommend S. B. Tree Service highly enough. Just had them remove a large silver maple (4' in diameter) from my backyard. It was a very complex job because of the proximity of an electric pole with a transformer atop that probably supplies electricity for my entire block. Some contractors wouldn't even give me a quote when they saw it. But Simon and Harrison didn't give up on me. Simon worked with Duke to down my power line so his team could cut the tree down. It was an acrobatic show to watch how they downed the tree. I am beyond impressed with their professionalism. I would hire them for anything and not just tree removal. Keep it up, guys!

The S. B. team did an awesome job removing 2 trees and chipping them to leave chips on site. The access on my property is a bit challenging, but they did a great job, and also were very accommodating in piling the chips in spots that was going to be convenient for me to spread them afterwards. Simon was excellent. He and his helper arrived on time and completed the job quickly in only about an hour. The service was to trim back some branches and cut some through a thick layer of vines that were slowly choking my tree. He even helped cut off a straggling branch that was hanging precariously over my neighbors garage at no extra charge! Friendly, professional service. Everything discussed was done promptly and cleanup done after. They were able to remove a very large tree from in between my deck and privacy fence leaving a clearance of only about 12 feet between the two. It was amazing to watch. We had a huge (approximately 100 years) old oak that over the last few years dropped branches due to a disease or fungus from the top. When the last of many large branches dropped off on one entire side of the tree, and when we saw huge mushrooms at the base of the trunk, we knew we had a problem. The tree was close to our house (3 stories) and all the branches left were on the house side.
I called Simon, and he responded immediately. He said he was pretty well booked, but understood the urgency of taking the tree down and worked us into his schedule, despite needing a crane and a bucket lift to get the job done. He and his crew came right on time. Everyone of his crew worked very efficiently as a team, and the tree was down, chipped, cleaned, and trunk hauled off, in addition to a few young weed trees, in an amazing 6 hours. S. B. Tree Service did a great job. They gave me a 3-week notice for the day they were going to show up and showed up around 9 am that day. They had to work around my fence being in the way and dropped the branches without hitting the fence. They did a fantastic clean up and you could not even tell they were there. I would recommend them with a 5-star rating.
