I've had S.B. Tree Service perform work on our large American Elm twice now and their team is excellent. Both times we needed large dead branches hanging precariously over our home removed and they did so quickly and safely. Great communication, clear pricing, and terrific work.

Absolutely phenomenal service. They blew everyone out of the water for estimate to removed 6 trees on an overgrown slope in my backyard. I collected quotes from probably about 10 different tree services. This company stood out in more than just cost. They were forthright with all of their insurance and workers comp policies... (Something I learned not all tree companies are as willing to provide.) Additionally, Chip, was a fantastic service rep to give me the initial bid and continued guidance leading up to actual job day.

The crew was prompt and efficient. Arriving at 8:30 and they were cutting by 9am. The job was finished, cleaned, and above the requested service level in just about 3 hours.

Bought an older house and it had a very large, mature tree about 10 feet away from my office that was basically dead because it was choked out by a massive vine system (I'm talking like, Tarzan swinging through the jungle size vines) that the previous owners left untamed. As much as I love trees, a dead tree right next to the house is just asking for trouble, especially with the wind storms here, but I also had anxiety about something going wrong with getting it removed. I hired S.B. Tree Service and they were absolute professionals. They came out quickly, were reasonably priced, very friendly, and very efficient. Despite the proximity and the fact they had to do more manual methods to cut it down, it went very smoothly. A few branch edges tickled my window, but there was no damage to my home at all. Hopefully I don't need to cut down any other trees, but if I do, I would absolutely hire them again.

Our house has a slate roof and any branches that hit it can break tiles and be costly to replace. We experienced this with a different tree service. It was truly amazing to watch S.B. work, cutting the hugh branches and lowering them to the ground. We had the stump removed as well, again a great job. They screened plants in the area, ground deep and wide to remove the stump. Raked, cleaned and hauled the grinding. I did save some to mulch an area along the edge of our woods. Thank you S.B. You are our tree service for future work. Oh, and they gave us recommendations for new tree replacement and installation in that area. Full service.

I can say with genuine enthusiasm that I made the right choice going with S.B. Tree Service to remove a pine tree on the side of my house. They came in with a quote that was so much lower than every other one I’d gotten that I was concerned they’d be cutting corners. I had some questions and the owner, Simon, called me personally. He was super friendly and helpful so we moved forward.

The job was done over two different days. One day they cut the tree down then another they came back to grind the stump. All of the workers were truly above and beyond friendly, professional, and helpful. Not only did they not cut corners, they did more than I expected. The first crew was happy to leave some 18-inch sections of the tree trunk in a neat pile that I can split to use for firewood. After the second gentleman ground the stump he took the remains and threw them on a nearby bed which saves me on mulch costs, labor on my poor old back, and it looks pretty great too. He even offered to quickly grind a very small stump left from a small tree I’d removed myself saying it really didn’t take him any time that would throw off his schedule.

At a time when good customer service is getting harder to find these guys are truly an example of what every company should strive for.

S.B. Tree Service completed a job for us yesterday. It included the removal of a large oak tree that was struck by lightning and a large pine tree near our fence. It was complicated by an ash tree removal on our back yard neighbor’s property. Due to the electrical wiring close to the ash tree, it was necessary to use our yard for equipment and tree removal. Andy and his team were extremely careful and respectful of our property on our neighbor’s tree removal and on our two trees. They were polite, professional, and very hard working. Andy was knowledgeable and friendly and answered all of our questions. They did a wonderful job of cleaning up our yard after the stump was removed. S.B. Simon and his brother, Alex, came to our house early and got to work immediately on our overgrown trees and dead branches. They carefully backed into our narrow driveway with their EagerBeaver wood-mulching truck, and began climbing our trees just after arriving. Simon quickly and efficiently trimmed the dead branches, dropping them safely to the ground below where Alex collected them and brought them to the wood chipper. They proficiently completed the job in less than three hours, cleaning up all the branches and wood chips, allowing a neighbor to cart home some of the logs for personal use. Very professional work at a very fair price.

I called S.B. Tree Service after the storm a few weeks ago because I had a huge tree come down in the backyard. Simon came out the next day and evaluated the cost and let me know on the spot. Had a proposal later that night and he arrived early in the morning on the scheduled day to take care of the tree. He even came back the next day upon my request to help move the stump out of the way. Cleanup was good, too. I would definitely hire S.B. again.

This is a little different review. We were to have our 70+ year old oak tree trimmed in November by S.B. Tree Service, but then we received the remnants of Hurricane Helene and the tree split and fell, while I was out there cleaning up tree limbs. Simon had Chip come out (who was great, explained things) and the plan was to start removing the tree in a couple of days due to the remaining tree being a little unstable. A neighbor had another tree company come out to access their property and while out there, we started to hear some cracking sound coming from my tree. Due to the emergency situation and my concern for safety and this tree being a hazard, I made an instant decision to have their tree climber and crew start to take care of this tree. Once I calmed down (I was a basket case), which was about 5 hours after my initial assessment by Chip, I contacted Simon and Chip to notify them of the situation and that I was canceling the tree removal. Ultimately I can’t thank Simon and Chip enough for their understanding and compassion of the situation. While we didn’t use their services, I wouldn’t have any hesitation recommending S.B. Tree Service, who are very knowledgeable and professional. Thank you Simon and Chip!

S. B. Tree Service did a TREEmendous job (yes, I stole that from my dad) removing the largest tree I've seen in a tight residential area locally. And - perhaps mostly importantly to me - they did it SAFELY. I warned them of the tiny tots I see skipping up and down the street to and from school (you know the 3' ninjas I'm talking about), and they had spotters everywhere. There was no property damage whatsoever. And as someone who likes to climb trees herself, I was thoroughly impressed by their climber's skills. And all of this at a spot-on and reasonable price with great insurance coverage. I couldn't recommend them highly enough.

These guys were wonderful. I did an extensive amount of research prior to picking them and called multiple competitive companies. They were very honest, straightforward, and the price was extremely competitive. I will admit I had worries and concerns given the price was lower than others, but after seeing results, I was thrilled. They are also insured and licensed and happily provided proof via email when asked. We had a dead tree removed and the competition basically said it was impossible without using expensive machinery. S. B. Tree Service proved them wrong. They were also extremely quick in their clean-up, and did a very thorough job. We did have a few holes in the ground after it was all said and done from the tree fall, but of course that's easily fixable. Would, and will, absolutely hire these guys again, and you should too!

Simon was out to give me a quote within days and started the job two weeks later. He had the whole tree down in 2 days and left our backyard, roof, and patio spotless. I would certainly use S. I had been given a strict timeline from my insurance company which required me to remove a large portion of the tree line surrounding my home. S. B. Tree Service came out to my home the next day to review the area and were able to squeeze me into their busy schedule the next week. This team will come out and remove everything if you ask, but I wanted to conserve as much as possible while removing the trees and limbs causing concern. I was blown away by their professionalism and quick communication. They were efficient without cutting any corners and very detailed in cleaning up the area. A couple [of] weeks ago during a storm that brought heavy winds into the area, Simon and his team responded to my call about a tree in imminent danger of falling over due to cracking along the base of the trunk. This was a large, tall old spruce that would have caused significant damage had it been blown over. Beginning at 7 PM, working past 9 PM, they methodically brought the tree and branches down. I cannot express adaquetely how great an experience it was working [with] Simon and his team. They were responsive, professional, courteous and clean during the whole process. Should you find yourself in need of assistance with all things tree care related, hire this company.

I can't recommend S. B. Tree Service highly enough. Just had them remove a large silver maple (4' in diameter) from my backyard. It was a very complex job because of the proximity of an electric pole with a transformer atop that probably supplies electricity for my entire block. Some contractors wouldn't even give me a quote when they saw it. But Simon and Harrison didn't give up on me. Simon worked with Duke to down my power line so his team could cut the tree down. It was an acrobatic show to watch how they downed the tree. I am beyond impressed with their professionalism. I would hire them for anything and not just tree removal. Keep it up, guys!

These young guys are a great alternative to the expensive corporate-type tree services here in Cinci (e.g., Bartlett). They're honest, knowledgeable, communicative, reliable, and skillful, and their rates are super reasonable.

The S. B. team did an awesome job removing 2 trees and chipping them to leave chips on site. The access on my property is a bit challenging, but they did a great job, and also were very accommodating in piling the chips in spots that was going to be convenient for me to spread them afterwards. They also were flexible and able to add on some additional work that I inquired about once they were on site. Highly recommended!!
